We had several metal bands before this one, but they were all aborted to soon, due to a lack of motivation of our ex musicians.
So, after taking a little break from the “music industry”, we’ve decided to form our own internet extreme metal project, who wich at the same time, allow us to play wathever we want, with no restrictions on the musical style, so now we can put all our guts in our songs !
Keep an eye on us ‘cause this is just the beggining of our legacy.
WE ARE VORAPHILYA AND WE PLAY WHATEVER THE FUCK WE WANT !

  • Underside

    Underside

    BIOGRAPHY

UNDERSIDE is a musical universe forged around the legends that have been running the planet Metal since the early 1980s. Iron Maiden's melodic heavyweight,
the Big Four's Thrash, AC/DC hardened steel riffs and Motorhead are as many references as the group claims. In the studio and on stage,
These influences translate into covers such as Hallowed be thy Name or Master of Puppets, but also compositions directly referring to those that Underside considers his masters to play. Above all, the band wants to evolve in repertoires that has conquered the hearts of the public since the birth of the Metal genre. For the band's founding members, Ben and Greg, the adventure begins during the high school years in a small Vosges town better known for its mineral waters than for its Metal scene: Vittel. Underside sharpens its first ranges during music festivals, concerts in the bars and halls of the area, participating in local festivals. Like any self-respecting group,
Underside splitte (or pauses for a long time depending on the points of view) so that each member can devote himself/herself to his/her personal and professional life. Studies,
family, job... then finally reform in 2014! 15 years have passed since the last riffs played together and the band's line up is evolving. Ben and Greg are joined by Yoann on rhythm guitar, Thomas on bass, and Christophe on vocals. Primordial Ooze is the band's first EP released in July 2015. They include Trapped Man, A Tales from the Deepest Ground and Undersided. So many titles inspired by the artists above.

Underside has also had the honour of appearing twice on the French Metal compilation: in 2015 'the reflection of fear' and 2017 'the thirst for knowledge'. In 2016, the instrumental part of the song Undersided was chosen as the trailer for the Gerardmer International Fantasy Film Festival.

Underside's first album will be entitled What lies... and released in early 2018.

Among the group's favourite themes are the dark, hidden part of the human being, the war and self-destructive process of our modern world, the oppression of the weak by the powerful, death, love and its disappointments. Most of the texts are written in English except some in French
