    BIOGRAPHY

Vinide was formed back in 2003 by five high school students who shared the same interest in playing heavy metal music. In the beginning, the sound was more light than nowadays. Throughout some self-released singles and EP's band decided to make their first full album which was released on 2007. After that, the band took part in The best band of Kainuu -the contest in spring 2008 and won that. In the summer Vinide released The Puzzle Ep and had a few gigs. It was the time when all the members went to study their own things all over Finland.

Almost two years of silence in January 2010 the band released a single called Into The Waters and turned their musical style heavier and added some classical instruments on the arrangements. The time came for the first lineup change. Mikko Kähkönen joined the band as a guitarist and a songwriter. The new era had begun.

The band started to plan their second full album. In the search of the new sound, the band made EP called Endless Debate released in 2012. Symphonic elements started to take part more and more during the production of the album. It was a very long way through recording and producing the album all the way in to form that it is today. The album 'Odes For Thoughts' was released in December 2014.

The composing of the Third album begun in spring 2015 when Elmeri Kinnunen (Vocals&guitars) came up with an idea of science fiction story. Very quickly the band was handling their first concept album. After a very fast process of composing the recordings of the album begun in December 2015. In the end of the year bassist, Ville-Veikko Vähäkuopus told us that he doesn't want to continue in the band because he had completely lost his motivation. After all the work stretch 1,5 year long and during the time the band tighten up into a four-member group and decided to continue without a bassist. The recording itself happened in a schedule formed by the band itself and was really easy going but still very determined.

Now, November 2017, the band is seeking opportunities out from the world with their forthcoming album ”Reveal”.

  • Menore

    Menore

Menoré is a five headed rock band from Kouvola, Finland. It was formed in May 2009, although the core of the band had played together for several years. The band’s music is a mix of different genres and every member (the current and the past) has brought their own influence to the band’s music.

Menoré has released two demo recordings, the first in the spring of 2010 called “Save Fail Demo”, and the second early in the year 2012 called “The Curse Demo”. At the moment Menoré is recording its first full-length studio album at the band’s own cost, and by that looking forward for an easier way to get their hands on a possible recording deal.

The founding members of Menoré are Matti Kukkasjärvi (Drums), Pasi Kakko (Guitar/Backup Vocals), Joonas Lintunen (Bass), Mikko Raunio (Guitar) and Miikka Viantie (Vocals). Joonas Lintunen played bass on the “Save Fail Demo” and played his last gig with Menoré in Finlandia Klubi, Lahti, in April 2011. His replacement was Jyri Jokela who played bass for “The Curse Demo”. Jyri’s visit was brief and he was soon replaced by Arto Gardemeister. After few gigs Arto decided to depart from the band, and for a moment it seemed that there is no light at the end of the tunnel. The founding member Pasi Kakko decided to take over the bass until the band finds a new bassist. In the aftermath of the one and the only gig Pasi played bass all changed and Menoré found a new bassist – Joni Heikkinen.

Although the band has had their share of misfortunes they are still more than willing to go on with their passion for music. With Joni in the band everything seems more positive and the band can look to the future at peace.

    BIOGRAPHY

CHAOSTAR wishes to be the experiment in music.
The band has been born out of Christos Antoniou's deep desire to create music that has a more Classical approach.
The guitarist emerged internationally as one of the founding members of Greece's leading Dark Metal band SEPTICFLESH, which was founded in 1993 and nowadays stands among the leading bands in Symphonic metal music.

When SEPTICFLESH released their single 'The Eldest Cosmonaut' in September 1998 it clearly took a step towards Classical music within a Metal context. The ensuing success inspires Christos and his band mates to create a project parallel to their main band in order to pursue this course further. This project becomes known as CHAOSTAR.

Although Christos is clearly the driving force behind this new formation, which focuses on an amalgamation of Classical and experimental music, all type-setters of SEPTICFLESH take part in the development of the compositions. Christos holds the reins firmly in his hand and coordinates the interchange of brilliant musicians from the Metal as well as the orchestral side.

This timeless confrontation of different styles gives rise to a music full off emotions as well as evoking and moving them. On top of this, vocalist Natalie Rassoulis, a divinity seemingly coming from another time, throws in her ever growing talent to touch the depths of our inner beings. After their self released first output 'The Underworld' (2000) CHAOSTAR sign a deal with French label Holy Records who releases 'Chaostar' (2000), 'Threnody' (2001), 'The Scarlet Queen' (2004) and finally the compilation 'Underworld' (2007).

Right now,Chaostar is revived and breaths under the support of Season Of Mist, for one more time.
The new album “Anomima” is the dynamic come back of the band ,exposing all the experimental intentions of the leading composer. The mass of classical and dark ambience is in a primitive dialogue with ethnic and electronic sounds, aspiring to magnetize even the most demanding listener.
Six languages are used in the songs of “Anomima” stretching more the limits of creation, exploring even deeper the final results that the every culture's language can add to the songs.
Inspired by the idea of free will and self -exaltation through sacrifice ,the album aims to leave the listener with a bitter-sweet taste awakening the emotional tension and grief that lays inside our hearts.Traditional instruments such as Yiallil tambur, Kaval, Oud interact with the Filmharmonic Orchestra and Choir of Prague under the veil of operatic and eastern vocals.Chaostar's presents a dark ritual of controversiality where music is a means and the listener becomes the transformed object.

Chaostar presents the new album 'Anomima'.
A controversial amalgama of different musical styles and sounds. The Greek band under the baguette of Christos Antoniou co-operates with the Filmharmonic Orchestra and Choir of Prague creating a trip into the world of music.Cover by Metastazis.

Chaostar is honored to have as guest vocalists on this album David Vincent (Morbid Angel) and Fernando Ribeiro (Moonspell) who added their distinctive color on two songs ,taking the ambiance of “Anomima” one step further.David Vincent narrates a deadly multiverse on the most wick song of the album refering to “Medea” ,while Fernando Ribeiro gives chills throughout his dark and metallic color of his voice able to accelerate the tension and maintain the rituality of the album.

CHAOSTAR wishes to indulge you in an unknown musical dimension that will free your thoughts and soul.
We wish that “Anomima”won't just feast your ears,
but would achieve to link you with the band and would become the bond holding tight a new long-term relation.

    BIOGRAPHY

Hooded Menace are a death/doom band formed in Joensuu, Finland in 2007 by Lasse Pyykkö (also known from the cult Finnish death metal band Phlegethon). Very much influenced by the 80´s Candlemass, early Cathedral and Paradise Lost, Autopsy, Asphyx and Winter, the band wanted to play really doom-laden death metal that combined crushing and somber riffs with a hint of melody. Many of their lyrics are inspired by the classic 1970s Spanish horror series The Blind Dead that included the films 'Tombs of the Blind Dead', 'Return of the Evil Dead', 'Horror of the Zombies', and 'Night of the Seagulls'.

In 2007 Hooded Menace recorded a 2-song demo titled 'The Eyeless Horde' and the following year the demo was pressed on 7' by Doomentia Records. The band unleashed their debut album 'Fulfill the Curse' in 2008 on Razorback Records with Doomentia handling the LP version. Doomentia also reissued the album on CD in 2010. After 'Fulfill the Curse' the band signed to Profound Lore to release the much acclaimed second full-length 'Never Cross the Dead' in 2010. Once again, Doomentia took care of the vinyl version. Decibel Magazine listed 'Never Cross the Dead' on their Top 100 Doom Metal Albums of All Time -list as well as Top 30 Finnish Metal Albums of All Time -list. The group got a new record deal with Relapse Records and went on releasing two albums on the label; 'Effigies on Evil' in 2012 and 'Darkness Drips Forth' in 2015.

Hooded Menace have also released several vinyl splits (with Asphyx and Coffins to name a few) and EP´s, most of them via Doomentia Records. They have toured Europe and the US, opened for legendary bands such as Candlemass and Saint Vitus, and played festivals like Roadburn, Hellfest, Maryland Deathfest, California Deathfest, Netherlands Deathfest, Tuska, Party.San Open Air, Obscene Extreme and many more.

2016 saw the band signing to Season of Mist. New album due out in 2018!
