Suburban Zombie reveals story behind single "Take 33"

Pop punk band Suburban Zombie from Long Island NY, is getting ready to release a brand new EP "New Year, New Tears"! The latter was indeed recorded with members of Man Overboard and The Early November. This actually seems promising, right? Off of this upcoming EP, the band released a new single "Take 33", in addition to a music video. You can indeed watch it below!
“Take 33 is actually about denial and avoidance in reference to facing your emotions and your struggles in life. The song indeed opens with the lyrics "Turned off the lights again, I'm staying in my bed". It provides a mental image for what it's like to wake up every morning having to face things that you don't have the willpower to handle.
In the second verse, the lyrics "My days are filled with what-ifs and regrets, and I can't escape my past. No, I just can't seem to rest" references the way that many people will try to avoid having to own up to the mistakes of their past“, reveals Andrew (bass & vocals).
