Reclaimer talk about their upcoming EP, “Grief, Enslaved”!

Hello, Reclaimer! Thanks for your time! For those who don’t know you yet, would you mind introducing your band to our readers?
We’re a 4 piece melodic hardcore band from Lincoln UK, for fans of the likes of Being As An Ocean, Counterparts and Casey. We’ve been a band for around 4 years and we’ve been touring the UK/EU heavily for the last couple of years!
How's your collaboration with Famined Records going?
Really good, they gave us a really warm welcome and have been busy and keen to work with us on our upcoming EP release. We’re very excited to see what the future is going to hold.
You recently released a new single, titled “July”. What inspired you to write this song?
Funnily enough, we wrote the song in July last year, a few of us were going through a rough time so it was collective in writing. A coming together of our own personal frustrations.
This single is taken from upcoming EP “Grief, Enslaved”, set for release on August 2nd. What kind of songs can we expect on this EP?
We’ve got a nice mixture of heavy and melodic tracks which are a real step up from our previous work. We feel that this EP really reflects us and how we have been over the last 2 years.
Tell us no one else knows about this record!
The flowers in the “Grief, Enslaved” artwork are from a photo we took in a ‘Bone Church’ in the Czech Republic on tour earlier this year. We thought they were sick so we fired the image over to our friend Jack (@getarealjobkid on Instagram) to whip something up for us.

If you had to pick one song on this EP that best reflects its overall spirit, which one would you pick and why?
Let Go. It’s a quite boppy song for us and we can’t wait to play it live later this year. It was the last song we wrote for the EP but it’s easily our most important for sure.
The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey, here’s your chance!
Make sure to pick up Grief Enslaved on the 2nd of August, share it with your pals and come down to a show in September/October if you like what you hear. Thank you.
