Northwoods discuss double A-Side single “On Love/On Loss”!

Northwoods are a five piece Melodic / Post-Hardcore band based in Boston, Massachusetts. Double A-Side single “On Love/On Loss” maintains the theme of opposites as touched upon on with Ebb and Flow, but with a more mature and forward thinking perspective. Produced by Charlie Abend and mixed by Jay Maas (Defeater), the first single to be released on February 22nd is “On Love” which takes on a fast paced, energetic grit with emotive vocals whilst channeling a heavy post-hardcore undercurrent. The follow up single “On Loss” debuts a softer, melodic and catchy side, and features special guest Bradley Walden, lead vocalist of US alt rock giants Emarosa.
Whilst discussing this unique collaboration vocalist Zach Brennan comments:
“We wanted a special guest on this song to bring out the most, and knew that working with Bradley. And what his voice does for Emarosa songs; we knew he'd be the perfect match. It was amazing. Bradley came to me and asked if he could try something and see if we liked it. He wrote his entire verse and we couldn't be more happy with how it turned out”. Brennan continues: “We're so incredibly happy to be releasing new music and believe these two songs to be a representation of what's to come from us. Our writing style has matured, we've all grown as musicians and artists. And the spectrum of what to see from Northwoods in the future. Being able to get out of our comfort zone, and do what we love to a wider audience has been mind blowing”. Northwoods - Band
