Little Triggers talk about recently released single, “Feed Me”

Band picture: credit to the owner Hello Little Triggers, thanks for your time. Would it be possible to introduce your band to our readers, as well as your roles in it? Hi Distrolution readers, we are Little Triggers from Liverpool. We are a two-piece Rock band. I’m Tom and I play guitar and sing lead vocals. I’m Jay and I play drums and sing backing vocals. We are an accidental duo, previously being a four-piece band but two of the members decided to leave just over a year ago now and, after having thought long and hard we went into our practice studio and rearranged all our songs. We played our first gig as a duo in Bristol in early December last year and went down a storm. Since then, we have released three well received singles this year. With a worldwide pandemic going on, how have you handled the management of your band over the past few months? We were just coming to the end of a tour when the first lockdown hit in March. It was especially annoying as we were just about to open the Hard Rock Hell festival which has now been postponed to November 2021. Tom is our songwriter, and he took the opportunity to develop his keyboard skills as well as writing several new numbers. Two of which BURN & FEED ME we have released as singles. We have managed to get in lots of practice sessions but are now back in lockdown. Even in lockdown conditions we have been laying down some demos of new material, working remotely. Tom has a mini-recording studio in his flat. You've recently released a new single, titled “Feed Me”. What's the story behind this song? FEED ME is an angry attack on corporate greed that is at the heart of so much pain and destruction, from homelessness to hunger and the plight of refugees. We made a hard-hitting video with images related to the theme of the song and YouTube wasn’t impressed, posting a warning in front of the video and barring under 18s from watching it. We are donating al proceeds from the single to foodbanks in Liverpool. Over the years, you've toured throughout the UK, Europe and China. Are you excited to go back on stage and do you already have some dates planned for 2021? We can’t wait to get back out on the road! Like other bands we’ve missed so much due to the pandemic. It’s like a whole year has disappeared. We have been invited to join a tour in the Spring but we suspect that will be postponed until at least the Summer. At least we have the Hard Rock Hell festival in November to look forward to. If they let us in after Brexit, we will definitely do some gigs in France. We have such a good time over there. The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey or any upcoming releases, here’s your chance to talk about it! FEED ME is out now so please have a listen on Spotify or your favorite channel. Look out for another single early in 2021 and an EP with all four singles and maybe a bonus track. We look forward to seeing you at a gig in the new year. Thanks for your time!
