Get to know the French rockers FROST!

Hello, Frost! Thanks for taking time to answer a couple of questions for us. Would you mind introducing your band to our readers? Of course! We are an alternative rock band from Paris, France. We were officially born in 2019 and we're composed of 3 members (all of us are 22), childhood’s friends. Guitarist, drummer and bassist. We played together for a long time now. But our project really started to get serious this year. We are influenced by a lot of bands, such as Green Day, Sum 41, Linkin Park, Bring Me The Horizon… some vibes that you can hear in our new album. We always loved to experiment, but our sound is deeply rooted in alternative rock, pop punk, and all kind of metal. How would you describe the French alternative rock scene from a global POV? Nowadays, as we speak, we believe the alternative rock scene in France is not well represented enough. People who listen to this music usually have their own favorites bands, but none of them happens to be French. We mean, it is the same for us, as our influences don’t come from French bands neither. As we were born in the late 90’s, it explains also a lot for us. But, it’s moreover musical trends in general, as time changes, rock music is not how it used to be. We think it’s missing in France and we try, as lots of bands, to make a name for ourselves in the French alternative rock scene. You've released, back in September, your new album titled “Syndroms”. Would you mind introducing this release to our readers? “SYNDROMS” is our first album, auto produced. It contains 12 original tracks. We released the song “Out of Control” as a single. We released SYNDROMS the 28th of September on every digital platforms. And we just hit 25 000 listening on Spotify. It is available for free on YouTube (Frost Band) and Soundcloud (Frost). Our lyrics mainly talk about problems in a daily life of a young person, very related to what we can experience ourselves. This record is homemade. We recorded with a single guitar, bass, drums and keyboard. Mixing and mastering were made by an American friend of mine, Izzy Anders, in a Los Angeles’s studio. -3Wtpbn_tgfQ How long have you worked on this record? It took us 3 months to finish this album. We had some old song wrote years back, that we improved and put on the record. (Addiction, Headaches, Confusion Day, My Dear Valentine, Girl Back from The Hell). And some songs we wrote especially for the album (Out of Control, Problems, Breaking, Syndroms). If you had to pick one song that, according to you, best reflects the spirit of this album... Which one would it be and why? We all agree that the self-titled song “Syndroms” is the one that embodies this album really well. And also reflects our creation process, our sound and our influences. Do you currently have any other projects in the making? We are currently working on performing live, wherever we can find opportunities. In the meantime, we are still writing and composing songs for a second album. The last words are for you. If you have a message to convey, here’s your chance! We’d like to thank Valentine and Distrolution for giving us the opportunity to do this interview. If you’re curious about our stuff, “SYNDROMS” is available on every streaming platforms.
